THE SHORT VERSION

How It Works

Our image to video AI free workflow keeps the creative process deliberately simple.

  1. 01Upload interface for the free image to video AI tool

    Choose a frame

Drop in a clear JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10MB. The preview stays on the same page so you can replace the frame before generating.

  2. 02Optional motion prompt in the free photo to video AI interface

    Direct the motion

Describe one movement or leave the prompt empty. Duration and output quality are visible before you spend time on a render.

  3. 03Real Grok image to video AI output showing a moving coastal cyclist

    Save your clip

Preview the real result in your browser, then download the MP4 whenever you want a local copy.

BETTER INPUT, BETTER MOTION

How to Get the Best Results

Image-to-video models work best when the source frame and motion instruction point in the same direction. These three choices make a bigger difference than writing a long prompt.

01 / SOURCE

Start with one clear subject

Choose a sharp image with a readable foreground and background. Portraits work well when the face and hands are visible; product images benefit from clean edges; landscapes need obvious depth. Avoid tiny subjects, heavy text, collages, or already-blurred images because the model has less stable detail to preserve.

02 / PROMPT

Describe one main movement

Write what should move and how the camera should behave. “Hair moves gently while the camera pushes in” is clearer than a list of unrelated effects. Mention speed and direction when they matter. Keep identity, lighting, and composition unchanged unless you genuinely want the scene to transform.

03 / MATCH

Match motion to the image

Use subtle breathing or a head turn for portraits, a slow orbit for products, drifting mist for landscapes, and parallax for illustrations. Natural motion already suggested by the frame is easier to animate convincingly. If the first result is too busy, simplify the prompt rather than adding more instructions.

UPLOAD SAFETY

How Your Image Is Processed

When you sign in with Google, we save the prompt, model, status, and stored result link to your private generation history. Your browser compresses the image and uploads it directly to our Cloudflare R2 storage using a short-lived URL. We then give that R2 image URL to Kie.ai's video model for processing. After the render completes, the generated video is copied to R2 for reliable playback and download.

Signed-in history lets you return to recent generations stored in our media storage. Do not upload confidential images or media you do not have permission to use.

Cloudflare documents presigned URLs as temporary permission for one specific operation on one specific R2 object. Your R2 API credentials are never exposed to the browser.

CLEAR ANSWERS

Frequently Asked Questions

01How many free videos can I create?+

Eligible new Google accounts receive 12 one-time credits. Each generation uses credits based on the selected model and settings. Free generation is subject to shared anti-abuse limits and provider availability.

02Do I need to create an account first?+

Sign in with Google to generate videos and access your private generation history. No credit card is required to start.

03What image formats work best?+

JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 10MB are supported. A clear, well-lit image with a distinct subject usually creates the most stable motion.

04How long does video generation take?+

Most videos finish in one to three minutes. Processing time can vary with the clip length and how busy the model queue is.

05Can I download the generated video?+

Yes. When rendering finishes, preview the result in your browser and use the download button to save the MP4.

06What's the difference between this and video editing software?+

Traditional video editors arrange clips you already have on a timeline. This tool creates a new short video from one still image, so it is faster for concept art, storyboards, product shots, and social posts. You can still bring the downloaded MP4 into an editor later for music, captions, cuts, or color work.

07What kind of motion can I add?+

You can ask for a slow zoom, camera pan, parallax depth, drifting clouds, moving water, fabric in the wind, a subtle head turn, or a product rotation. Simple, specific motion usually looks more stable than asking every part of the frame to change at once.
