The zombie couple story starts with a gun standoff and an impossible choice. The survivor lowers the weapon, opens their arms and embraces the infected partner. The encounter then gives way to warm memories.
Our zombie couple creator uses the complete reference video plus two portrait photographs. The video supplies the actions and cuts; your photographs supply the two characters.
1. Watch the reference video
The player on the creator page shows the fixed source, before character replacement. Its complete 20-second timeline supplies the shot order, gun-lowering action, embrace transition and memory montage. It is not a personalized generated example.
The reference is included by the server in every story request. It cannot be removed or replaced in this tool, and a missing or changed source stops the request before credits are charged.
2. Prepare one portrait for each role
- Photo 1 — survivor: the person holding and then lowering the gun.
- Photo 2 — partner: infected in the house, healthy in the memory scenes.
Use separate, sharp photographs of consenting adults with their full faces visible. Keep lighting even and avoid sunglasses, crowded group pictures and strong filters. If you have only a couple photograph, crop each person into a separate portrait. Either adult can take either role.
3. Preserve the source story
The replacement instructions are fixed. They ask Seedance 2.5 to edit the reference video, use the two photographs for their assigned characters, retain the existing camera and action, and keep all memory shots.
This is different from asking a model to invent another story from photographs and text. Do not add new scene timings or replace the memories in this template. See the reference-video replacement instructions.
4. Review the output settings and quote
The intended format is 20 seconds, 480p, vertical 9:16 and no audio. The source soundtrack is omitted. Add music in TikTok, Reels or your editor after downloading.

5. Review the complete result
Check both portraits against the result. Inspect the gun-lowering action, hands and bodies during the embrace, the movement across the transition, every memory shot, and whether the partner is healthy only in the memories.
The request directs the model to preserve the reference, but exact likeness and frame-for-frame equivalence are not guaranteed. A successful request or download does not by itself prove that the replacement quality meets your needs.

Does the video show real memories?
No. These are fictional scenes from the reference video. Two photographs cannot reconstruct a couple's past. Get both people's agreement before using their images and sharing the result.
